People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
But decide where you are going to draw the line. I don't let others harm me physically.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
Decide what is good for you and worry less since people always strive to find the worst in you anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
Succeed at what cost, and who measures success, I think you will be hard pressed to define that today. Work at what you enjoy and be good at it and do it for you.
Don't allow yourself to be harmed.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
The bad you do will be remembered forever, avoid it.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
But not too honest, make criticism when you are not angry is my thinking.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the
smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
Some of the bigger ideas seem to be the most foolish. Work in simpler domains and hope to avoid monoliths.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
And top dogs don't seem to stay on top for long. Choose who you follow wisely
and decide how far.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
But don't spend it all in one place.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Often those who help have strings attached and need to offer an agenda, avoid them since this is not charity it is enslaving you to their goals and ideals.

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.
Kick back when needed.
